Mashuq Mushtaq Deen

Mashuq Mushtaq Deen is an award-winning resident playwright at New Dramatists, and PWC Core Writer. His full-length plays include Flood*, The Empty Place, The Betterment Society (published by Methuen Books), The Shaking Earth* (second place winner for Sulthan Padamsee and Woodward International Prizes), and Draw the Circle (winner of Lambda Literary Award, produced at PlayMakers, Mosaic, Rattlestick, and published by DPS). Deen’s work has been supported by a number of institutions including the Siena Art Inst, Sundance Institute/Ucross, Blue Mountain Center, MacDowell Colony, Bogliasco Foundation, Helene Wurlitzer Foundation, Target Margin Theatre, among others.
