Susan served for 27 years as Associate Artistic Director of the Omaha Community Playhouse and its professional touring wing, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, where she directed a wide variety of plays and musicals. An actor, Susan’s roles include Violet Weston in August: Osage County, Joanne in Company, and Mrs. Lovett in Sweeny Todd. In addition to a number of awards received for her individual work as a director and actor, Susan was a recipient of the 2014 Nebraska State Governor's Artist of the Year Award and is a recipient of two Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Omaha Theatre Arts Guild and the Omaha Arts and Entertainment Awards.
