I’ve been in several staged readings in Omaha since arriving here in September 2013. I played Long John Silver in a reading of “Treasure Island” (2015) (Scottish accent) at The Playhouse and was in “Harvested” (2015) at the Conference plus three plays for Nebraska Shakespeare (2016, 2014). In full productions: “The Haunting of Hill House” at Bellevue Little Theatre (2016) (English accent), “Sive” for Brigit Saint Brigit (2016) (Irish accent), “As You Like It” for Nebraska Shakespeare (2014) and “Abby In the Summer” for Shelterbelt (2014) (rural farmer accent). Prior to coming to Omaha, I was in plays in Pittsburgh, including as Friar Laurence in “Romeo and Juliet” and as Ralph Waldo Emerson in “The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail.” Years before, I was an Equity actor in New York in plays off-Broadway and summer stock, with roles on TV and in movies. I’ve done voice-over commercials in New York, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee and Albuquerque and hosted radio programs there. I’d be a good choice as narrator, right?
