Lauren Marinelli White teaches theatre and acting at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She received her BA in Theatre at Virginia Tech and her MFA in Acting and Directing Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University. She recently played Titania in the Nebraska Shakespeare and Omaha Symphony collaboration of Mendelssohn: A Midsummer Night’s Dream. As the Artistic Director of the internationally-based, Alliance Players in Brunssum, Netherlands, she directed award-winning productions of The Diary of Anne Frank, The Taming of the Shrew, Rabbit Hole and Marvin’s Room. Prior to her time in Europe, Lauren was an actress in the Richmond/Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Previous performance credits include Candida at the Williamsburg Shakespeare Festival, Uncle Tom: Deconstructed with The Conciliation Project and her solo performance, Unlisted Properties, at the Firehouse Theatre Project.
