Katie Cameron is a seasoned stage directions reader, but also dabbles in acting, props, costumes, and a myriad of other theatre-related things. Recent performance work includes readings at the Great Plains Theatre Conference (2009-2017), which she also helped coordinate for several years, the Omaha Community Playhouse, University of Nebraska at Omaha and the Shelterbelt Theatre. She participated in Waaxe’s Law, which toured multiple venues in Nebraska and the Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. Katie has served on the Nebraska Shakespeare Community Board, and currently fills the role of secretary on the Shelterbelt Theatre board (2010-present). She is in her second term on the Theatre Arts Guild board, serving as Awards co-chair (2013-15, 2018) and Publicity chair (2017). Katie lives in La Vista, NE with her husband, children, huskies and cat, and works as a professional school counselor at Benson High School.
