Emma Stanton

Emma Stanton’s work has been developed and produced by Roundabout Theatre Company, Goodman Theatre, American Theater Company, Red Tape Theatre, Oracle Theatre, Luna Stage, Dixon Place, New Dramatists, the 2016 ATHE Conference, and the 2017 and 2018 Great Plains Theater Conferences. Honors: 2018 Premiere Stages Festival (Finalist), 2017 National Playwrights Conference (Finalist), Civics and Arts Foundation Playwriting Award for Emerging Artists in Chicago (Recipient), 2016 Susan Glaspell Award (Finalist), Columbia University/Roundabout Theater Underground Reading Series (Recipient), 2016 Jane Chambers Feminist Playwriting Award (Recipient), the 2016 Princess Grace Award Playwriting Fellowship (Recipient), and during the 2016-2017 season, Emma was a member of the Goodman Theatre’s Playwrights Unit. This year, Emma’s play No Candy premiered at Portland Playhouse and was directed by Tea Alagic. Emma is currently developing her work with Chicago Dramatists and with Jackope Theatre in Chicago.
