Carlo Maghirang

Carlo Maghirang is a scenic/production designer and artist, native of the Philippines, based in Los Angeles, working internationally in multiple fields from theatre, film, live events, and installation art. Previous credits: French national tour of ‘Fore!’ by Aleshea Harris, directed by Arnaud Meunier (St. Etienne, Paris, Nice, FR. Brussels, BE). West Coast premiere of Erin Courtney’s ‘A Map of Virtue’ (Atwater Village Theatre), Rosanna Gamson’s ‘Still/Restless’ (REDCAT), and ‘The Enormous Wound’ with Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre (Boston Court Theatre). Currently he represents the US as a featured designer in the professional section for his work in the productions of ‘Fore’ and ‘Glass Mountain’ at the Prague Quadrennial 2019, curated by USITT. With a strong belief in the art of world-building, Carlo’s work and process is often motivated by his search for spaces of inclusion, creating environments that trigger acts of empathy. www.carlomaghirang.com Instagram: @chromatose
