About / Bio
Doriette Jordan is a native of Omaha. She has been essential to stage productions such as: “Chelle” “Detroit 67” at Snap Productions, Performing Art Collective (The Union for Contemporary Arts) as Stage Manager for “The Divine Order of Becoming” by Carla Stillwell, and “The Story of Aaron Douglas”. Doriette has had the opportunity to be casted as lead roles in; “Shout I” and “Shout II” a Salem Baptist Church production, Just Jan Productions “Sistah Girl”, Carole Terrell’s “All I Want for Christmas”, Once on This Island” at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a many others. In addition, Doriette was casted for the Reading of “The Bystanders” by Kim Whiteside, Reverend "Lawd the CVS in on Fire" by Carla Stillwell, Momma in "Even Flowers Bloom in Hell" by Franky D. Gonzalez , actress and songwriter for "Abuse is not Love" by WithLove Felicia Production and as a Peer Educator for the Douglas County Health Department REACH OUT, H.E.A.R.T AND T.E.A.M health education programs. Doriette is currently Assistant Instructor at the Union for Contemporary Arts Young Voices Youth Ensemble. She is also Assistant to the Director for "More than Neighbors" by Denise Chapman. Doriette has had the opportunity to share the stage with national recording artists at Joyful Noise Christmas productions 2014-16 and 2018 at the Holland Center. She gives of herself not only passionately to the arts but also to music and her community. Doriette alongside her husband Eric have graced many stages with their vocals and theatrics. She is well known within the city and abroad as a recording artist and as being quite familiar to the stage. JordansMusic2000 was established with her husband as a way to allow school age children as well as adults to fine tune their vocal craft in music. Workshop "Let the Natural You be Heard” and one on one vocal mentoring are avenues used to create an atmosphere for music and theater aspirants; desiring to fine tune their strengths and improve areas of discontent. Doriette love for being on stage has served as an outlet and a way of expression.
