The GPTC Commons Season

Omaha’s (Free!) Season of World and Regional Premieres

The GPTC Commons Season makes more plays for more people in Omaha. The Great Plains Theatre Commons Season broadens public access by providing free, high-quality theatrical events throughout the year. Produced in collaboration with community organizations and local artists, we present performances at geographically diverse venues across our city. The Commons Season gives voice to the stories that have the power to unite and inspire diverse audiences.  The form of these works can vary, including traditional plays, devised work, short forms, music, and dance. Much of the content celebrates Omaha stories. GPTC puts Omaha stories on stage. The result is a vibrant portrait of our city.
