When the Tsunami Knows Your Name
By Emma Stanton

At the center of When theTsunami Knows Your Name is a veterinary technician named Ruby, who helps animals live and also helps them die.  But when Ruby witnesses one stranger’s tragedy, she finds herself on a new path, making precarious pacts with her co–‐workers, a police officer, and an old friend named Tsunami. Set in an eternally cold city by the sea, When the Tsunami Knows Your Name is about our relationship with death, and how it can reveal the beautiful and ugly truths of who we are.
