About / Bio
Noah Diaz is an MFA candidate in the Playwriting Program at the Yale School of Drama. His plays include Richard & Jane & Dick & Sally (Kennedy Center’s Jean Kennedy-Smith Playwriting Award, Yale School of Drama), The Juniors (Yale School of Drama), The Home Shopping Network Pageant Play (Last Frontier Theatre Conference, 5th Wall Productions, Shelterbelt Theatre, and Campfire Theatre Festival), Jack and June and The Great Bassoon!, a commission from the Rose Theater that will receive its world premiere production in 2019, and The Motherhood Almanac (Shelterbelt Theatre, Seven Devils Playwrights Conference), which was a semi-finalist for the Blue Ink Playwriting Award and a finalist for the Woodward/Newman Playwriting Award. As an actor, Noah has performed with SNAP! Productions, Shelterbelt Theatre, Rose Theater, Brigit Saint Brigit, and BLUEBARN Theatre, among others, as well as the Den Theatre in Chicago, IL. He is the recipient of five Theatre Arts Guild Awards, four Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards, the Elaine Jabenis Award, and the Barbara Ford Award for Excellence in Performance.
