In The Room

Lawrence Dial’s play DANNYKRISDONNAVERONICA was a Primary Stages and ESPA Drills finalist, and received a public reading at the Duke on 42nd.  It was produced by Wheelhouse Theater Company, directed by Jeff Wise in December of 2017.  His play BEEF was produced by Slant Theatre Project, 2008; and won the Best Play Award in the 2010 Downtown Urban Theatre Festival.  His other plays include: Been Down So Long Looks Like Up To Us (workshopped at the Labyrinth Theatre’s 2010 Intensive Ensemble), and an award-winning NYFringe Festival production of Carroll Gardens Aborning.  He is also a 2016/17 featured playwright for The Amoralist’s Wright Club. Currently, he’s writing a play commissioned by Wheelhouse Theater Company that challenges the standard narrative of human monogamy.  (What is that? He’d love to talk to you about it.) He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two daughters.  lawrencedial.com
